The first shows I curated during my study at the academy for art and design AKV|St.Joost. Together with classmates I set up various exhibitions. At first at the academy, later at artist spaces in Tilburg and Breda.
I enjoyed setting up these exhibitions very much. Because I had some productional experience due to previous work at musicfestivals the production of these exhibitions didn't cause much stress.

After my study I continued curating for the KOP foundation. An artist space I ran together with fellow artist and designers. Working for KOP I set up my network and gained experience. This created new opportunities to work together with other organisations.

In 2005 I started working for the academy for art and design AKV|St.Joost. Here I got the chance to restyle the graduation proces. My own experience with this proces and young artist exhibiting at KOP provided the right input to change the graduation proces to a more professional level. This resulted in a professional approache to graduating students, comparable to professional artist and artist spaces. Als the exhibition form changed into a more curated concept and finally a profeesional publication was released presenting the graduates to professionals in art and design.

In the meantime I kept on working for KOP. Continously seeking opportunities to work together with other initiatives and companies to make bigger and better exhibitions. In October 2006 all my previous experiences resulted in the fact that I wanted to be an independant curator. Since hen I've been working as a freelance curator a various projects.

As a curator I am specialized in installations and performance art. I often work with (graphic) design and sculpture in relation to fine art in multidisciplinairy exhibitons. In most of my projects I combine local industrial context and international artistic developments. This results in projects (e.g. exhibitons, publications, festivals, websites) with great eye for artistic quality, clear communication through good graphic design, detail in production and good communication with the audience.
